Garry and Anne House Handicap Day and Presentation Day

Our final local meet for the season will be on 17 March 2012. This meet involves a special Handicap Event where all athletes compete in a laned sprint over a distance determined by their 100m performances throughout the season. Some athletes run 60m, others can run as much as 120m, depending on their 100m times. This is a great event with the 8 finalists receiving special medals, and the overall winner engraved on the perpetual trophy. All athletes will compete at least twice befoe the semi-finals are run.

In addition to the Handicap race, presentations are made throughout the day, including trophies for registered athletes, ribbons for Championship events that have not been presented, and many special awards for improvement, outstanding performances, sportsmanship and other notable achievements.

If you are definitely not going to make it to this meet, can you please notify Cathy McKeown so that we do not put you into a Handicap Heat. This will make the day run smoother for all involved. Thanks - see you there!
