Annual General Meeting - 28 April 2008. (7:00pm)
KLAC AGM will be held at the Gormley Park Centre on Monday 28th April 2008, starting at 7:00pm.
All parents are welcome to attend - all positions on the Committee will become vacant and are open to nomination from anyone interested. This is a great way to be involved in how Little Athletics is run in Kingborough, so that we can make the sport relevant and the meets run smoothly for our children.

Southern Cross Country Competition
Paul Mommers (Huon Valley Little Athletics) is trying to organise a cross country competition for the south of the State, to be run in conjunction with Athletics Tasmania/Athletics South.

Kingborough Little Athletics Centre Inc. is affiliated with the Tasmanian Little Athletics Association and provides a range of athletics events for children between the ages of 5 and 14 in the Kingborough area.
Our season starts on the first Saturday in October and extends through to early March. We meet at Gormley Park, Gormley Drive, Kingston on Saturday mornings at 8.30am with the occasional Wednesday evening twilight meeting at 5.30pm. If you go up Summerleas Road from the roundabout at Kingston, Gormley Drive is on the left hand side before you get to the Sports Centre.
Little Athletics is a family activity where parents are encouraged to assist with the running of events. It is a great way for the family to be actively involved in sport. The emphasis is not on winning, but athletes improving their performance in a friendly atmosphere of "Family Fun and Fitness".

Paul Mommers (Huon Valley Little Athletcis Centre) is trying to organise a cross country competition for the south of the State, to be run in conjunction with Athletics Tasmania/Athletics South (AT/AS).
AT/AS have a successful cross country competition that has been running for a number of years. Events are held in different locations each week within about a 40 minute drive of the Hobart CBD. They are held on Saturday with the first AT/AS competitionstarting on Saturday 5th April and the last on Saturday 20 September.
The cross country is attended by people of all ges and abilities, with people like Donna McFarlane running at full pace to grandmothers who walk the course. THere is also a social gathering at the end of each meet.
Registration is at 10:00am.
Distances for Little Athletes are:
| U6 and U7 | 800m |
| U8 | 1000m |
| U9, U10 | 1500m |
| U11, U12 | 2000m |
| U13-U15 | 3000m |
Courses are at Acton, Bagdad, Bellerive Beach, Domain, Ferntree, 5 Mile Beach, Tolosa Park, Grove, Risdon Brook Dam plus others.
