ON YOUR MARKS. SET. GO!

Welcome to Kingborough Little Athletics for 2015-16 season.

Our first meet for the summer track and field season is scheduled for 10 October 2015.

Kingborough Council are working around the clock to make sure Gormley Park will be ready in time, but please check back here or keep an eye on our Facebook page to make sure we have the all clear to use the ground on that day.

In the unfortunate event that the meet is cancelled it will be rescheduled for later in the year.

New Athletes Come and Try First

Little Athletics allows you to come and try for two meets before having to become a registered athlete. So come and join us at one of our meets and give it a go. Remember to wear comfortable clothes, shoes for running, a hat, a drink bottle, a parent and a big smile. A canteen and BBQ are available.

Registration

There are two ways to register for the season.

For families previously registered with a current email address, LATas will directly email you with family login details to streamline the registration process, generally in early September.

Option 1: Register and pay online from the comfort of home. The payment process however will attract an additional merchant fee on top of the registration fee and NO FAMILY DISCOUNT option is available.

Option 2: Register online and pay in person at the Gormley Park clubrooms.

Note: Proof of age for children registering for the first time is required. This can be either the blue health book or birth certificate.

With Option 2 you are able to obtain a Family discount on the membership fee when registering two or more athletes at the same time.  Payment methods are CASH, CHEQUE and EFTPOS. The Centre will absorb the merchant fees if you pay by EFTPOS.

To register online please follow this link to the LATas Registration Portal.

Every athlete must complete their registration and lodge their membership fee before they compete in their third meet of the season. Registrations lodged without payment of the appropriate fee will not be accepted.

Further enquiries regarding registrations can be directed to Christina Canning, by email, through this link email Registrar.

2015-16 Membership Fees

Membership fees for the season are $100 per athlete, $20 for a Tiny Tot and $45 for a dual registration. However, the following family membership fee schedule applies if you pay direct at the Gormley Park clubrooms:

1 child $100
2 children $185
3 children $270
4 children $355
Tiny Tots $20
Dual Registration $45

Registration fees are set each year by LATas and a portion of the membership fee is submitted directly to LATas to cover registration and insurance. In addition to the LATas registration fee, KLAC charge $20 per child (to cover individual expenses such as trophies, ribbons and tickets) and $15 per family (to cover expenses such as maintenance of equipment and other administration costs like pens, clipboards, paper, printer toner etc.). We do not charge a competition fee each week, nor do we expect come and try or visiting athletes to pay to compete.

Important Changes for the 2015-16 season

There have been two important changes introduced in 2015-16. Mandatory Working with Children registration applies to certain roles and a number of rule changes, including spikes age limits, have been made. For more details please click here.
